This News Sheet is a digest both for general use and for members and regular attenders who do not follow business closely or use electronic communication. It is emailed around circulation lists, printed for notice boards and taken to or posted to less active or distant friends.
Quaker Wednesday takes place on the first Wednesday morning of every month at Wanstead Meeting House. Friends, visitors and enquirers gather for coffee and conversation from 10.30 onwards. Meeting for Worship is from 12 to 12.45, followed by a shared lunch. Everyone is welcome, and can attend for as much or as little time as they wish. It usually finishes around 2.15. Next dates: February 4th and March 4th.
The final Meeting for Worship in Romford Meeting House was held on Sunday 22nd June 2025. Although Quakers in Romford were only in their recent Meeting House for six decades, member Ian Hutchings researched and wrote this 13 page article of their history from 1684.
